Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Introduction
Arrival at Lao Elephant Home:
Arrive at the sanctuary in the afternoon.
Welcome and Orientation:
Check-in and freshen up.
Attend an introductory session about the sanctuary, its mission, and the role of elephants in Lao culture and ecology.Meet the Elephants:
Meet the resident elephants and their mahouts (elephant caretakers). Learn about each elephant's history and the sanctuary's efforts in conservation.
Traditional Lao Dinner:
Enjoy a welcome dinner featuring traditional Lao cuisine.
Participate in cultural activities or a bonfire (weather permitting).
Day 2: Elephant Interaction and Learning
Elephant Interaction:
Breakfast: Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the sanctuary.
Join the mahouts walking about 40 minutes to 1 hour to meet their elephants in the jungle , Learn how to care for the elephants and understand their behaviors.
You will spend minimum 1 hour or longer as you want and Return back to the camp.

Have lunch at the sanctuary's dining area, featuring local dishes.After lunch joining local activities :
This hands-on experience is designed to introduce you to the intricate art of traditional Lao weaving and clothing making. You will learn from local artisans and participate in creating your own piece of fabric, gaining a deeper understanding of the cultural significance and traditional methods used in Lao textile production.Learn about the challenges faced by elephants in the wild and the efforts to combat issues like illegal logging and poaching.Cooking class :
A cooking class at Lao Elephant Home offers a wonderful opportunity to learn about traditional Lao cuisine in an authentic and scenic setting. On your final day at Lao Elephant Home, you'll have a chance to say goodbye to the elephants and the sanctuary staff, reflecting on your enriching experience. You’ll enjoy a relaxed morning before departing at 9 am.
